From the Contestants Handbook:

14. All qualified contestants MUST compete at the Ohio Gay Pride Pageant. Any qualified contestant who does not compete at Ohio Gay Pride Pageant and was not excused from competing will be:
a. Banned from the Ohio Gay Pride Pageant System for a minimum of one (1) year until repayment is completed under Item 15.
b. Will not be permitted to be involved in any Ohio Gay Pride function or preliminary pageant held during that time (concluding the Sunday of the Miss State pageant the year following when the ban was lifted).
c. Involvement does include but not limited to dressing, dancing, performing in benefits.

15. If a qualified contestant does not compete at Ohio Gay Pride and was not excused from competing at Ohio Gay Pride by the State promoter, they will be required to:

a. Return the crown (if the winner), all awards, and all prize money to the preliminary promoter within 30 days of the Ohio Gay Pride Pageant for which contestant did not compete.
b. Repay the preliminary promoter $75 for the entry fee to state.
c. There are instances in which the state promoter will invite more than two preliminary pageant contestants to qualify for the state competition. It does not matter how you place in the preliminary competition, if you accepted this, you are required to fulfill your obligation to compete at the Ohio Gay Pride competition for which you qualify.
d. Any monies raised during benefits and/or given to the contestant would need to be donated to a charity by the contestant.

THE OWNER AND PROMOTER ALSO HAS THE RIGHT TO REVOKE THE PLACEMENTS (WINNER OR 1st ALTERNATE) WITHIN THE OHIO GAY PRIDE PRELIMINARY FOR ANY ACTIONS INTERPRETED AS:
A) FAILURE TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES WITH DUE REGARD TO THE PROMOTION OF THEIR TITLE IN PUBLIC,
B) ANY ACT WHICH CASTS AN UNFAVORABLE LIGHT UPON THE OHIO GAY PRIDE SYSTEM OR ITS PRELIMINARIES,
C) ANY ACT INVOLVING MORAL, CRIMINAL, OR ETHICAL ISSUES UNDER ANY LAW,
D) ANY SERIOUS ACT OF MISCONDUCT INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) AN ACT OF DISHONESTY, THEFT, OR ANY ACT OF INJURING, ABUSING OR ENDANGERING OTHERS,
E) OR IS ACCUSED OF PERFORMING OR COMMITTING ANY ACT WHICH WOULD/COULD ADVERSELY IMPACT OHIO GAY PRIDE OR ITS PRELIMINARY EVENTS, PROGRAMS, SERVICES, OR REPUTATION.

THE DETERMINATION OF WHETHER AND TO WHAT EXTENT THE OFFENSE IS CURED SHALL BE MADE BY THE PRELIMINARY OWNER/PROMOTER WITH CONSULTATION OF THE STATE OWNER/PROMOTER AND STATE DIVISION TITLEHOLDER. REVOCATION CAN OCCUR AFTER STATE AND UP UNTIL YOUR PRELIMINARY STEPDOWN.
